Design Through My Eyes
“Put others before yourself” is a term that I’ve heard since childhood. Living in an average household, there was no need to make yourself look better than others. No need to gloat about your achievements, and certainly no need to make others feel poor about themselves. I am proud of where I come from. I am levelheaded and big-hearted, according to my mother. All my life I’ve been looking out for people; making sure everyone is satisfied. From people in my life with Autism to Ehlers Danlos, and from assisting with multiple teams and organizations, I have always strived to make others a priority in my life. My name is Amber MacPherson and now, it’s my turn.
Growing up in an artistically imbalanced family, my ability to draw and construct was never thought of anything more than a hobby or talent. However, my ability to completely lose myself in the art of design and the concept and principles of creating something from nothing was evident from the start. It was at a young age that I tied in this passion with the thought of Interior Design. The profession allows you to take ones personality and portray it through a physical space. The idea of producing a building, remodeling a home, or designing interiors in general is something I find outstanding. The reasoning simply being, interior designers have endless possibilities.
Interior Design has always been my passion. To me personally, it’s more than just an occupation. It’s a way of helping individual’s express who they are through their homes and other surroundings. A home is not only a place where someone lives, but it’s an accomplishment, a sense of pride in a physical form. This stands for business, industries, retail spaces; I want to be able to help my clients make their visions a reality. Being able to take someone’s words and desires, and transform them with my knowledge and skills to create a concrete reality is an exceptional thing. I want people to see the full potential and limitless possibilities that come with their buildings. This is why I have decided to pursue Interior Design. I want to have the ability to design and implement interiors to embody the full vision of my clients.
